Austin Developments have been designing and constructing timber decking, screens and outdoor living structures such as gazebos, cabanas and alfrescos for over 10 years. All decking sub-frames are made up of Treated Pine CCA H3 and H5 timber. Our sub-frames are consistent with the Australian Standard codes:
- All unprotected timbers shall have a durability class which complies with Australian Standard 1720.2
- All structural members will not exceed the specified maximum span in Australian Standard 1684 (Residential Timber Framed Construction) for the grade of material proposed
- All construction and materials are to comply with Australian Standard 1684 (Residential Timber Framed Construction)
- No part of the structure (including footings) shall encroach over a lot or boundary
- Structure shall comply with 1170.2 wind loads
- Span and fixing of cladding shall comply with manufactures specifications
- All timber roof walls and floor framing shall comply with the provisions of Timber Framing Code AS 1684
